Importing contacts
Unless you’ve been living under a rock somewhere, or are under the age of ten, chances are pretty good that you’ve been using e-mail prior to using Office Live — and that you already have an address book. If you are currently using Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Contacts, Live Mail, Yahoo!, or Google, you can export your information into a text file and then import the information directly into Office Live.

Importing information into the Office Live address book.
Here’s all you need to do:
- Click Contacts in the E-Mail section of the Office Live Home page. The Office Live Mail address book opens.
- Click Options and select Import Contacts. The Import Contacts page, shown in Figure 4-15, appears on the scene.
- Select an import option from the list in Option 2: Import from a File section.
- Click Browse and navigate to the spot where you saved the export file.
- Click the Import Contacts button to import your contacts. After a few seconds of whirring and hissing, your contacts now appear in your Office Live address book.
